Appear to be on a flower theme!
This is a Lady Slipper. They are native to Georgia and apparently considered rare or endangered. (I need to research them!)
Well…the 365 days just isn’t happening – is it?
Too much chaos in my little world right now to even think about a photo project.
Instead – as I am able to – I will just try to get back into the swing of things and then hopefully one day - get back on track.
This is a sad little Yellow Bell plant in our yard. A couple of weeks ago I tripped over it in the dark. It now has a bit of a lean to it — but this is actually the most blooms it has ever had!
Okay – so this is the only photo I got yesterday. The wind was blowing and I tried to take a picture of some leaves while I was waiting for my client’s dog to finish his business (same place the golf course photo was taken).
It didn’t turn out (obviously), so I planned to take another photo later on, but it just didn’t happen.
Oh, well…at least…I am back on track… :-O
These originally were Easter Lilies a couple of years ago. For some reason they decided to wait until July this year to bloom.
They are also strangely tall — well over three feet…I would say one of them is even approaching four.
Rather odd walking by and smelling the scent you usually smell in church at Easter…esp. right after the 4th of July!
Between camera phone problems and some other things going on….I’ve really gotten behind.
Even though I’ve been taking the photos – haven’t been able to send them, so will be playing catch-up for a while I guess.
This one was in a clients yard…or rather in the woodsy unkept part of their yard. I don’t think they intentionally planted them – I think they are wild.
If I wasn’t afraid one of our horses would destroy my Nikon – I would venture into the pasture with it and try to get shots of some of the more interesting weeds and flowers I am seeing when we are out there.
Taken with the husband’s cell phone again – this is a wildflower that I spotted growing toward the back of the pasture. Hadn’t seen these growing before, so I had to venture over to take a look.
Not sure what they are, but very pretty and really stand out once you notice them!
Taken with husband’s camera phone.
There aren’t quite enough blackberries to do much with yet — but there are some really big ones growing and this is one of them!
Hopefully – I will get to a few of them before the birds discover them!
Too Bee Or Not Too Bee….
Bee were swarming around my lavender bushes today. I would really like to have a macro lens for my Nikon….actually I would like to have taken some shots WITH the Nikon, but I just happened to be walking by the bushes with the camera phone this evening – so I got the shot while this bee was sitting still.
They are making it VERY aromatic!!! I love, love, love lavender!!!!
