It’s Crepe Myrtle Friday!
Not sure what it is up to now….LOL…usually it gets tall and kind of stickish (is that a word?), but so far…it seems destined to be short and squatty….

Crepe Myrtle Friday!!!!
Okay, so the crepe myrtle isn’t the only thing that has grown this week…
The yard is seriously in need of some care too!
Unfortunately, (or fortunately since we have had a drought here the last few years…) we have been getting some afternoon thunderstorms through the week and the grass has been too wet to cut!
Oh…and check out the ant hill beneath the crepe myrtle….Not sure what to do about that since if we put down poison we have a good chance the cats or the dog will get into it! 😦

Today’s photo either shows a ghostly mist around our subject, or…I need to clean the lense on the camera phone!
I would say the poor thing has died, but none of the other ones around the area are doing anything yet either….so I guess it is still too early for it to wake up!

Yep…it’s Crepe Myrtle Friday!
See what happened to my poor baby?!
This is a different angle than I usually take (in addition to all its branches being gone….) I was using the camera phone so the light was best from this direction.
Anyway, this happened last week…I went out last Saturday and my husband had severely pruned it.
It’s a bit late (should have been pruned in January or early February) to have messed with it…so I’m going to be curious to know how it’s going to come back….OR…if it’s going to come back…..<sigh>…. 😦

Crepe Myrtle Friday…
Okay, eventually this thing is going to start showing some green leaves on it, but for today the big difference is that it is wet because it got rained on! LOL!
You may also notice that we seem to have a really good crop of green onions starting to spring up!
